The DropTop have been working hard towards the completion of the long awaited, DTP Family & Friends, Grand CD Release! 33 New CD's with a minimum of 17 unreleased songs per CD, totaling over 570 never before heard jam sessions recorded "Live" @ Ground Control Studios in Lansing, Michigan, during several "open-mic" Freestyle Jamathons from 2000 through 2010, Including members from both the past and present DTP Family. With what felt like a decade of having to filter through over 7000+ recordings, we has managed to narrow it down to 1000 of the Greatest Hitz, from there, we have added a couple extra tracks and samples to beef them up. Hard to believe, but what is about to be released run 70% Proof Freestyle, sliced and diced for your listening pleasure. You will not be disappointed!

Unlike what you may be use to as far as freestyle goes, the DTP are seasoned Studio Freestyle rappers, trained to perform under pressure! Meaning: a beat gets dropped, moments before entering the booth! No rehearsals, No writing to the beat! The other 30% of their lyrics are "Draft Written" just days prior to the recording session, without knowing their last minute choice of Instrumental. It don't get any more creative. Rough, Rugged & Raw! Str8 off the Jaw! To label these as Freestyles, just don't describe the magic of the moment, so we created our own genre of what we do, which will now & forever formally be known as Rug Rap! So Buckle In, sit back & grab a snack, get ready to dig in and get a big scoop of the things we do, when we are doing the do.
